Carvel Has Some Good News For Hocus Pocus Fans

If you're a Halloween fan, you know what that means: Celebrating the holiday for 31 days straight all October. The Freeform Network is on board with that idea too, with their "31 Nights of Halloween" spooky movie festival that runs on the network all month long offering classic family-friendly spooky flicks 'round the clock. One of the movies that's going to see multiple airings during this time period is "Hocus Pocus," everyone's favorite witchy chick flick. (Runners up nods of course going to "Witches of Eastwick" and "Practical Magic," and "The Craft" if you like it a little darker.)

If "Hocus Pocus" watch parties are your favorite part of Halloween, you'll for sure want to get some appropriate treats. If you've got sufficient chutzpah that you don't mind bothering Starbucks baristas, you could always ask for one of the secret menu "Hocus Pocus"-themed Frappuccinos – in fact, there's a trio of these to choose from, one for each witchy Sanderson sister. If you want the official "Hocus Pocus" frozen confection, though, you'll need to head to Carvel as they've teamed up with Freeform to offer special "Hocus Pocus" shakes this season.

Which witchy shake will you pick?

Just like the "Hocus Pocus" Frapps — and the "Hocus Pocus" witches themselves – Carvel's latest specialty shakes come in three different varieties. If you order Sarah's Chilling Churro Shake, you'll get soft serve ice cream blended with the brand's own Churro Crunchies and cinnamon sugar, while Winnie's Glorious Cake Batter Shake is made with cake batter-flavored soft serve, and Mary's Divine Cookies & Cream Shake comes with cream-filled cookie pieces blended into vanilla soft serve. All three shakes are topped with whipped cream and colored sprinkles, and you'll also get a cool souvenir "31 Nights of Halloween x Hocus Pocus" cup and a special spoon — Sarah's is yellow, Winnie's is orange, and Mary's is purple.

These "Hocus Pocus" shakes are, of course, a seasonal offering, and they will only be available through October 31 starting at $4.79 each. All full-service Carvel locations and some of the express spots should have them, but if you can't tear yourself away from your Halloween movie marathon, you'll be glad to know they should also be available for delivery via all the usual suspects: DoorDash, GrubHub, etc. It's the perfect way to enjoy a delicious shake while you watch a holiday classic — and get you excited for "Hocus Pocus 2," reportedly coming in 2022, says People.
