She's built her business from the bottom up, using her expertise in writing to engage and educate fellow home cooks on ways to bring more flavor to their cooking by sharing well-tested recipes and techniques. In her spare time, she's writing her first fiction novel and enjoys continuing her food education through traveling and dining out.

Mikayla received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in English Literature, with an emphasis on Creative Writing, from Sonoma State University in 2014. There she learned how to craft beautiful writing and communicate ideas in engaging ways, lessons she's applied to her work everyday since.
