  • An advocate for architectural history, her love of buildings and history led to her research on historic restaurants in the US and abroad.
  • Kate is passionate about saving historic buildings and spends her time researching and traveling to historic restaurants. She has visited many of the oldest restaurants in the world, including St. Peter Stiftskulinarium in Salzburg, Union Oyster House in Boston, and Restaurante Botín in Madrid.

Experience

Kate is a freelance writer, photographer, podcaster, and TV/film producer whose many passions include cooking and traveling. She began her professional career as an editorial intern for Dwell magazine in San Francisco before becoming a freelance writer in the interior design and architecture world, for publications such as Dwell, Hunker, and Playboy. Inspired by writing for design, she studied at Boston Architectural College in 2016 where she specialized in Historic Preservation. A lover of historic architecture and travel, Kate combined her interests by making visiting historic restaurants a hobby. She has sought these places all over Europe and the United States. Her next adventures will include Japan, China, and Columbia.

Education

Kate has a bachelor's degree and in 2016, she began her master's at Boston Architectural College.
