  • Dina is proud to have interviewed James Beard-nominated chefs, winners of food competition shows like "Chopped," and owners of America's most iconic and beloved restaurants.
  • Her publication Westchester Woman was selected as the media sponsor for the 2016 Turn Up the Heat restaurant showcase, where she was privileged enough to create promotional content for the fundraiser and get exclusive interviews with all of the event's female chefs about their work and personal journeys.
  • When she's not writing, she's eating pizza or experimenting with new recipes or new restaurants. Making mirror glaze entremet cakes is her jam, and her tiramisu has won the seal of approval from Sicilian nonnas.

Experience

Dina's passion for the written word is as fierce as her passion for food. She has more than a decade each of experience working in both the hospitality (front and back of the house) and journalism industries. Her career began as a local news reporter and editor covering the New York City suburbs dining scene for Patch.com, Daily Voice, and, her own website, Westchester Woman. She has reported on the latest viral and seasonal recipes, cooking and kitchen hacks, and restaurant news for Sweet and Savory since 2017. Dina also served as a reporter for What Now Philly and What Now Atlanta interviewing restauranteurs, chefs, franchisees, and CEOs making moves in Philadelphia and Atlanta dining scenes. Dina is obsessed with alliteration, most things with cheese, and all things truffle.

Education

Dina has a master's degree in journalism from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry.
