Experience

AV Brown has roots in both South Carolina and Costa Rica. She has worked as a journalist covering politics in the Middle East, sustainable food and agriculture movements around the world, and other environmental issues in the United States and abroad. Her awards and publications in poetry and short fiction have instilled in her a commitment to creative storytelling. Spanish and English are her native languages, but she is also learning Arabic and French. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new vegan and vegetarian recipes, and staying active by lifting weights and running.

Education

Brown has a bachelor's degree in international studies with concentrations in environmental sustainability and peace and conflict resolution.
