Here's What Megan Fox Eats In A Day
To say Megan Fox is a talented actor who captivates audiences on and off the screen would be an understatement. The 36-year-old Hollywood star is charismatic with a blunt personality and knows exactly who she is, and she has come a long way since exploding into stardom with franchises like "Transformers" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," (via Who What Wear).
Despite the many challenges of living a busy life in the spotlight, Fox has always been keen on maintaining her fitness. One could wonder how the busy mother of three, actor, and model is able to maintain her physique. The actor does have an intense exercise routine that she has consistently followed for years. Her trainer, Harley Pasternak, previously told People in 2012 about the five-factor workout that Fox follows, which includes "a minimum five minute cardio warm-up, a lower body sculpting exercise, an upper body toning exercise, then an abdominal sculpting exercise, and finally, a five minute cool down." Fox also has been known to partake in circuit training. "I do bursts of cardio with really heavy weights. Circuit training," she told E! News in 2014.
Since we know how Fox remains in shape by following an exercise routine, let's dig deeper into what goes into the belly of "Jennifer's Body."
A well-rounded breakfast to start the day right
We see the glamour and fame that comes with being a celebrity, but it necessitates hustle and grind, and is really an altogether different lifestyle. That's why celebrities pay special attention to eating the right foods to fuel their bodies. From Kourtney Kardashian's go-to avocado smoothie to Salma Hayek's fruit salad with yogurt and almond butter, it seems some celebs can be particular about what they eat for breakfast. While there are many different amazing breakfast recipes to try, Megan Fox gets her healthy dose of energy to kick-start the day with a breakfast consisting of egg whites, oatmeal, and almonds.
Fox believes that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and never skips it. She follows a strict five-factor diet which requires eating small meals five times a day (via Healthy Celeb). Her go-to snacks include almonds, fruits, and veggies, which are packed with antioxidants and deliver loads of nutrients, helping her maintain energy levels throughout the day.
Megan Fox loves smoothies and even used to sell them
Life works in mysterious ways, and unexpected things happen to make our world spin in an entirely different direction. Take the example of Megan Fox, who previously had a job selling smoothies in Florida. While the job at the smoothie shop entailed working behind the register, she also had to dress up as a giant banana once a week to advertise the shop by standing on the side of a highway. "The bad thing about it was that your face wasn't hidden, so everyone could see who you were," she revealed on the "The Ellen Show."
From selling smoothies in a giant banana costume to using smoothie recipes from celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, life has come full circle for the actor. She loves getting daily nourishments from organic smoothies. "Megan's favorite is the red smoothie, which is whatever berries are in season, Chai tea, a scoop of protein powder, and little bit of almond milk," Harley told People.
We can see why she has a go-to smoothie recipe since this versatile beverage increases the intake of fiber, essential vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals (via Healthline). Moreover, homemade smoothies are generally better than pre-made ones.
Megan Fox orders sushi to curb late-night food cravings
Late-night food cravings can offer the best ticket to a guilt trip, but you can turn it around by utilizing portion control or choosing different foods. While eating starchy, salty, or sweet food can satisfy your taste buds, it would be great to munch on something that offers several nutritional and health benefits, too. Something like sushi, which is a treat Megan Fox prefers eating over starchy, sugary ones, but her late-night snack of choice differs from that of her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly.
MGK appeared on 104.3 The Shark and revealed Fox's preferred choice of food when it comes to late-night cravings. "She's probably ordering sushi," the rapper said. "She eats super healthy. Everything is gluten-free and organic on her menu." On the other hand, the rapper admitted his order is a lot different. "My menu's like, Shake Shack, cheeseburger." However, he reveals that he hopes to (eventually) take some inspiration from Fox and start eating healthier.
Megan Fox eats salmon daily
There are a lot of reasons to love salmon, from the different exciting and easy ways to cook it to its nutrient-dense properties. But Megan Fox wasn't always a big fan of salmon's distinctly delicate flavor. Thanks to her trainer Harley Pasternak, however, Fox is now a salmon lover.
Harley was adamant when it came to convincing his client to eat salmon. "Megan Fox finally listened to me...she is now a salmon fan. She will have salmon at least once a day. She'll go have a bunch of salmon sashimi and she'll have a cucumber salad and miso soup and some edamame," he told Glamour.
There are numerous health benefits associated with eating this full-flavored fish. According to Healthline, salmon is a rich source of protein, B vitamins, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids (help maintain cardiovascular health), and astaxanthin (helps you look younger and prevents skin damage). Moreover, eating salmon every day (in smaller servings) is perfectly fine since it's low in mercury compared to king mackerel, tilefish, tuna, and swordfish.
Megan Fox eats gluten-free
While excluding gluten from the diet has become somewhat of a food trend, there are people who must avoid it for health reasons. Aside from the fad, some people might go gluten-free due to an allergy, gluten sensitivity, or celiac disease. Many celebrities have become gluten-free in recent years. One such showbiz personality is Megan Fox, who eats everything "gluten-free and organic," as Machine Gun Kelly shared in an interview with 104.3 The Shark.
Fox follows a strict no-carb diet with a combination of paleo and keto. "I avoid (No gluten! No gmo! No canola oil! No xylitol or erythritol! And many, many more). I oscillate between eating keto and paleo," she wrote in an Instagram post. She also told E! News "I cut out all bread and those sort of carbohydrates. No crackers, no pretzels, no chips. Nothing unhealthy."
And what about cheat days? As most of you have probably guessed by now, there are no cheat days in the life of Fox. Per E! News, if she ever decides to have a cheat day, she'd go for "pizza or cake."
