Don't Believe TikTok's Rumor About McDonald's Snack Wraps

One of the most devastating fast food discontinuations is surely that of the McDonald's Snack Wrap. Ever since McDonald's dropped the Snack Wrap in 2016, fans have been begging for this menu item's return. In fact, its Change.org petition has over 13,000 signatures and boasts claims that Snack Wraps are perfect because they aren't hot, they're sort of healthy, and they're easy to eat on the go.

Despite its popularity, the Snack Wrap just isn't time/cost-effective enough to justify its place on the menu (via Eat This, Not That). But even though McDonald's repeatedly says it will not be reintroducing the Snack Wrap, fans continue to demand a Wrap revival.

With so many people desperate to enjoy another Snack Wrap, it only makes sense that rumors would proliferate. Social media, particularly TikTok, has been spreading the Snack Wrap return rumor like wildfire. And unfortunately, it is only that — a rumor.

You can't believe every Snack Wrap rumor you hear on TikTok

Earlier this month, a TikToker reignited the Snack Wrap rumors when she showed off a McDonald's promotional flier for a Honey Mustard Snack Wrap. The video quickly received well over a million views and nearly 3000 comments, most of which involved people freaking out about the Wrap's return.

Although Britt Johns' page has several other videos about the Snack Wraps, including a TikTok of her eating what looks like a Snack Wrap, Snack Wraps are not actually back. According to The Takeout, the flier used in the video was an edited version of an old flier, and McDonald's officials continue to insist that the Snack Wraps are not coming back any time soon, if at all.

Other McDonald's Snack Wrap fliers made the internet rounds just last month, exciting more than 90,000 Facebook users. However, Agence France-Press' AFP Fact Check confirmed yet again that these were old fliers. The Snack Wraps are NOT –- say it with us, NOT –- available anywhere in the United States.
