Sophia Bush Can Eat 'Box After Box' Of This Snack
We've all been there — struck by a sudden urge to have a snack. Maybe it's actually hunger, maybe it's just boredom. Either way, a healthy snack can take the edge off without plying us with empty calories, or food with little to no nutritional value, such as pop, cookies, cake, candy, and some fast foods (per Medical News Today).
Although the snacks you're most likely to crave are often not the ones that are nutrient-dense, there are plenty of healthy snacks you can buy or make that are just as satisfying as a bag of chips or a pack of Oreos. For example, you can make frozen yogurt or zucchini brownies.
While celebrities' lives are often quite different from the general population's, they're just as likely to snack as we are. And in a 2016 interview with Redbook, "Chicago P.D." cast member Sophia Bush noted that filming sets always have junk food sitting around.
Sophia Bush can't get enough of this green snack
While visiting snack-filled sets may prove challenging to some, Sophia Bush has managed to get this "danger zone" under control. In addition to cutting back on coffee, she told Redbook, "I try now to have a cup or two of coffee in the morning."
And getting into meal prep, Bush says she tries to make better choices with her snacking. Her favorite food to nibble on, as it turns out, is seaweed snacks. "I honestly go through box after box," she said to the magazine. "I just can't handle it."
According to Healthline, seaweed is a great source of iodine, fiber, and numerous vitamins, all while being low in calories. And because seaweed is fiber-rich, it keeps you feeling full longer. In addition to being super healthy, the seaweed industry helps give new life to ocean environments by cleaning the waters for other wildlife. Now that's a green snack!
