Chick-Fil-A's Sauces Are More Vegan-Friendly Than You Might Have Thought
If you were to round up fast food chains with the best vegan options, you probably wouldn't assume Chick-fil-A would be at the top of the list. Unlike restaurants like Taco Bell, which is known for its ability to make anything fresco style, Chick-fil-A has a lot of items on its menu that contain dairy or meat. However, to give the chain some credit, it isn't the worst. In fact, despite the fact that it has the word "chick" in its name, the restaurant has quite a few options for people steering clear of meat.
According to the chain's website, vegans have the choice of ordering a Market Salad, the Spicy Southwest Salad, or the Grilled Cool Wrap without cheese or chicken, if they want a meal in line with their diet. In terms of snack or breakfast items, customers could also grab some of Chick-fil-A's hash browns or a fruit cup. And the chain's renowned Waffle Potato Fries are also vegan — thankfully.
Vegan Chick-fil-A Sauces
There may be limited vegan options at Chick-fil-A, but this isn't the case in terms of its sauces. According to Veggl, the chain's ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce are all plant-based, to every vegan's relief. The chain's famous Polynesian Sauce is also vegan. For those who haven't had it, the chain's website describes its flavor as "tangy" and some of its ingredients include sugar, beet juice, and corn syrup, which are all vegan. In addition, the Sweet & Spicy Sriracha Sauce is also vegan, which makes it perfect to pair with the Waffle Fries.
Lastly, those enjoying a chicken-less, dairy-free salad can have it with the Light Balsamic Dressing, Light Italian Dressing, or the Chili Lime Vinaigrette Dressing. Though they will have to remove the avocado lime dressing from the Cool Wrap, as that contains dairy, they can still have a tasty meal with only a couple of modifications.
