The Truth About Eboni Henry From Guy's Chance Of A Lifetime
From "Top Chef" to "Chopped" to "Hell's Kitchen," there's no shortage of cooking competitions these days. One of the newest to come to Food Network is "Guy's Chance of a Lifetime," which premiered on January 2, 2022. "This is not your every-day, run-of-the-mill competition show," Guy told The Hollywood Reporter. "No eliminations, no meaningless cook-offs each week. It's a real-deal job interview for a life-changing opportunity." Here's how it works: Seven cheftestants compete in a series of weekly challenges for the chance to own and run a franchise of Guy's fast-casual fried chicken chain, Chicken Guy! (via The Food Network).
The first season's competitors come from diverse backgrounds all across the United States. One of the chefs vying for her very own Chicken Guy! restaurant? Eboni Henry. The Chicago native, who now lives in Dallas, isn't playing around — she's here to win, and the Food Network describes her as "the female Guy, dipped in black chocolate." Here's what you should know about Eboni Henry over the next few weeks.
Eboni is also known as "The Twerking Chef"
Eboni Henry is no stranger to the small screen. The "Guy's Chance of a Lifetime" contestant previously competed on season 8 of MasterChef, where she was the co-runner-up (via Pilot Online). But that's not what she's best known for. The Navy wife and mom of four is more famously called The Twerking Chef. She has over 21,000 followers on TikTok, where her account (@twerkingchef) says she's "the world's sexiest chef." There, you'll find plenty of clips of the cook dancing, which fans can't get enough of. "I keep it nasty but classy," she wrote on Instagram.
If her success on MasterChef is any indication, Eboni is a force to be reckoned with — and has the attitude of a champion. Of her time on MasterChef, she told Pilot Online, "I learned that it's OK to be vulnerable. I learned that it's OK to open yourself up to new friendships. I learned that criticism is great, be it good or bad. It's really what you make of it. Most of all, I learned that I have a place in the culinary world." Will she also have a place at Chicken Guy? We'll soon find out.
