The Name Of DJ Khaled's New Chicken Wing Startup Is Absolutely Perfect
Celebrities have a long history of opening restaurants. According to Delish, Channing Tatum owns a New Orleans-themed eatery that serves up Cajun fare, Greg Nicotero and Norman Reedus own a pub called Nic & Norman's, and Ludacris owns Chicken + Beer, a restaurant built on the rapper's love of the two namesake foods. DJ Khaled now intends to throw his own hat into the ring and open up an international signature chicken wing startup. Thrillist reports that the record producer has teamed up with Reef to open up a massive chain of virtual restaurants that revolve around bone-in and boneless wing combinations that take inspiration from Khaled himself.
Unique offerings include Un Un Un Believable Buffalo wings that get coated in a spicy buffalo sauce, the Don't Quit Nashville Hot wings that take inspiration from Nashville Hot Chicken, You Loyal! Lemon Pepper wings, Honey! Honey! Hot Honey Sriracha wings that feature a mix of spice and sweetness, and They Don't Want You To Win Truffalo wings that feature the flavors of black truffles, parmesan, and buffalo sauce. With wing names like this, you could only hope the entrepreneur chose the right name for his restaurant. Apparently inspired by his famous saying, Khaled chose the name Another Wing for his restaurant.
A wing empire that only DJ Khaled can oversee
While the name of the restaurant is a fun play on his iconic song lyrics, Khaled looks dead serious when it comes to the ambition of the virtual chicken chain brand. According to Hypebeast, Another Wing plans to cover 150 locations across three continents and five countries, making it the largest virtual brand in history. The New York Post reports that diners in the U.S., U.K., France, Canada, and U.A.E. can enjoy these signature wings, and many major metro areas will claim at least one Another Wing location.
If you can't imagine digging into a plate of wings without some accompaniments, the record executive still has you covered. Diners can plan to order Spicy Togarashi Fries, Jalapeño Cheese Fries, Truffle Parm Fries, and Onion Rings, while orders can also get upgraded into All I Do is Wing or Major Key Meals, per Thrillist. Some locations have already opened their digital doors, meaning diners in locales like London, Paris, New York, and Miami, already have virtual access to the restaurant. Only time can tell if Khaled's wing empire proves successful, but with branding like this, anyone can find something to love about this massive virtual brand.
