Aldi Shoppers Are Loving These Cinnamon-Flavored Sweet Crepes
The holidays bring more than presents, family, and Christmas cheer — they also bring desserts galore. Sweet treats are around every corner this time of year, whether it's a fancy box of truffles you received as a gift, a traditional Yule log cake served on Christmas Eve, or homemade chocolate-covered pretzels you made with your family. And that doesn't even cover the main dessert of the season: Christmas cookies. Chocolate crinkles, peanut butter blossoms, shortbread cut into festive shapes, gingerbread men... The list is seemingly endless.
As delicious as all those holiday desserts are, though, they aren't exactly ideal for a balanced breakfast or snack. So what's a person with a serious sweet tooth to do during the season? Fortunately, better-for-you treats exist, from those with less sugar or fat to those made with more nutritious ingredients. One such product is something you can now find at Aldi: cinnamon crepes with only two carbs per serving. Here's what you need to know about the seasonal find.
They're a great low-carb dessert
In a recent Instagram post, Aldi fan account @adventuresinaldi shared a photo of the Crepini-brand cinnamon-flavored sweet crepes, which they said they found in the Special Buys refrigerator at their local store. The packaging claims that the ready-to-eat crepes contain only 35 calories and 2 carbs per serving, making them a keto-friendly dessert, snack, or wrap. Plus, they're gluten-free, and each pack comes with six crepes.
Fans are very excited about the new release, and those who have already tried them are giving the crepes rave reviews on Instagram. "These were my very first Crepinis," one person commented. "I seriously can't get over how amazing they are." Another added that they already stocked up on them for the weeks ahead. If you want to snag the sweet crepes for yourself, don't delay. According to a Crepini Instagram post, the crepes are available exclusively at Aldi while supplies last for a limited time only.
