Instagram Can't Get Enough Of Valerie Bertinelli's '90s Throwback
Valerie Bertinelli is really a renaissance woman, having shown her prowess at a number of roles throughout her life: wife, mom, celebrity chef, and actress to name just a few. The TV personality seems at ease whipping up a lasagna, which incidentally was the first dish she ever made, per the Food Network website, co-hosting "Kids Baking Championship," or dishing in the kitchen on her show "Valerie's Home Cooking." But before the cookbook author showed the world her chops in the kitchen, Bertinelli was making waves in shows like the 1970's classic "One Day at a Time," which really kickstarted her career and path to stardom when she was just 15 years old. Bertinelli told EW of the experience, "I have such wonderful memories from those days. I was learning from the best ... It was wonderful to grow up on that set. I learned so much."
Per IMDb, Bertinelli went on to make several films, including "C.H.O.M.P.S." and "Ordinary Heroes," and even found further success in the sitcom world with her role of Melanie on "Hot in Cleveland" where she starred alongside the likes of Hollywood icon Betty White. But that's not the show that has our keys clacking on Instagram. The multi-talented, Emmy award-winning cooking show host recently posted a throwback picture from a role she played in the 1990s, and fans on social media can't stop talking about it.
Bertinelli starred in a sitcom with Matthew Perry
Valerie Bertinelli posted a couple of photos on Instagram from her days starring on the short-lived sitcom "Sydney" with the caption: "I heard the 90's were back in style again! Oh Geeze!" That pretty much sums up our sentiment about fashion in the '90s as well. But we totally forgot about Bertinelli's days as an NYC private detective on the sitcom "Sydney," where "Friends" star Matthew Perry played her younger brother. The show only lasted for one season but also featured the likes of Andy Dick, Barney Martin, and Craig Bierko, per IMDb. Still, those oversized blazers paired with baggy pants or blue jeans are really taking us back a couple of decades.
Clearly, Bertinelli rocked the look. Close to 24,000 people liked the post and plenty of Instagrammers shared their admiration for the star telling her, "You've never gone out of style!" Still, others couldn't help but share their thoughts on the clothing of yore possibly becoming trendy again. One follower responded, "They are!! I'm so excited!!!" followed by a couple of laugh-cry emojis, while another simply typed, "Blazers." Our thoughts as well.
