The Exciting Popeyes Menu Item You Can Only Get In Singapore
"Forty years ago in New Orleans, Louisiana, a taste sensation was born," the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen website says on its "our story" page. "What began with one small restaurant and one big idea turned into a craze that swept the nation — and the world." While Popeyes, a Restaurant Brands International company along with Burger King and Tim Hortons, may not be the biggest purveyor of fast-food chicken in the world, they're not exaggerating. Popeyes has managed to draw a lot of attention to its authentic, Louisiana-style fried chicken, chicken tenders, and shrimp by being the first to lay down the "chicken wars" gauntlet in 2019. Then, they turned themselves into an absolute category killer with the astounding success of its chicken sandwich entrant with record sales and even in-store tussles over who should get the last sandwich as supplies dwindled in the wake what became much more than a "Popeyes versus Chick-fil-A" showdown.
Now, Popeyes has gone and raised the chicken stakes once again with an exciting new menu item. Although it's available only in Singapore at the moment, if it's as good as it sounds, it could turn up soon at your local Popeyes.
If you're in Singapore right now, pop on over to Popeyes for this exciting new item, ASAP!
Holy tingling taste buds, Batman. Popeyes Singapore rolled out an exciting new menu item as of September 14, and it's about to explode. Literally. It's called Fizzy Pop Chicken, and along with a "new sweet, spicy & savory sauce made from tomatoes and chilies," it also comes with a "container of fizzy seasoning to sprinkle on to the chicken" for what promises to be a "Pop Rocks" sensation when you take a bite.
"Fizzy Pop Chicken from Popeyes Singapore is the new way to eat fried chicken," announced Fast Foods SG, a site devoted to reporting information on the Singapore fast-food market. It was also noted that this is the first time a "fried chicken joint" has "ever introduced" this "one of a kind experience." However, there's just one catch: It appears to be available solely between September 14 and September 18, 2021. One can only hope that this exciting new menu item at Popeyes does so well in the Singapore market that the restaurant chain will want to introduce it to the U.S.!
