White Claw Surge Just Announced 2 More Flavors For A New Variety Pack
Hard seltzer fans seeking an enhanced buzz are in luck — the king of spiked sparkling water, White Claw, just unleashed two brand-new flavors in their alcohol-enhanced seltzer line, Surge.
The popular company, which made its debut in 2016 with a lineup of four original flavors — Black Cherry, Ruby GrapeFruit, Raspberry, and Natural Lime — has since expanded their beverage portfolio with a variety of added flavors like Mango, Watermelon, and Tangerine. Earlier this year, the company also released a higher-ABV line of seltzers called White Claw Surge, which upped the alcohol by volume percentage to 8%, increasing from the 5% ABV contained in the original flavors.
In addition to upping the alcohol content, this boozier seltzer was originally only available in super-sized 16-ounce cans (compared to the standard 12-ounce can), emphasizing that this was a beverage made for those who wanted to take their Claw-fueled gatherings up a couple of notches. In response to the popularity of the launch, the company is releasing new flavors of Surge just in time for end-of-summer imbibing.
Everything you need to know about the new White Claw Surge flavors
The original duo of White Claw Surge flavors, Blood Orange and Cranberry, have some company — this week, the seltzer brand announced the debut of two new options: Blackberry and Natural Lime. In addition, White Claw will also now offer all four Surge flavors in a brand new 12-can variety pack featuring smaller 12-ounce cans. Customers who prefer the 16-ounce size will still be able to purchase the larger-format Surges individually.
The latest additions to White Claw's offerings join a wide lineup of products, including 11 flavors of the original seltzer — with newer additions like Strawberry, Blackberry, and Pineapple. Earlier this year, the seltzer company also released hard sparkling iced teas in four flavors, including Peach, Raspberry, Mango, and Lemon Iced Teas.
The new Surge variety pack will differentiate from the original White Claw and White Claw Iced Tea variety packs with a bright blue box, also the same bold color of the Surge cans. In great news for revelers everywhere, the Surge Variety Pack is now available nationwide as of September 1, retailing for a suggested $15-18 depending on location.
