McDonald's Is Testing A Chocolatey New McFlurry. Here's Where To Try It
Sweet and salty is one of the most delicious dessert combinations, and there's a reason this blend of flavors tastes that good. If you're a fan of sweet-and-salty desserts and ice cream, then the newest McDonald's McFlurry is for you. This McFlurry is still in testing stages, but if you're lucky and at the right store, you'll be able to buy a Chocolatey Caramel Pretzel McFlurry.
The food website Chew Boom spotted this McFlurry recently. Based on the photo on their website, this McFlurry has a heaping handful of toppings, so you'll start off a big bite of chocolate, caramel, and pretzel. It's all paired with their vanilla ice cream, so this will let the chocolate and caramel really shine. Of course, you'll still get those caramel swirls throughout the McFlurry.
If you liked McDonald's Caramel Brownie McFlurry, then you should try this new McFlurry, too. You'll get the sweet, thick ribbons of caramel and chocolate. Plus, there's the added bonus texture from the crunch of the pretzels.
If you're not in Cali, here's how to DIY this McFlurry
Chew Boom reported that you can get this McFlurry in Southern California and it's been found in the Pasadena area. Since it's being tested, most customers won't be able to sample this just yet because it's not available in most stores. The photo on Chew Boom's page also mentions that this McFlurry is limited time, so it could mean that even if it does arrive in stores across the country, it won't be a permanent addition to the menu.
Not in California and can't find this McFlurry anywhere? Well, keep an eye out to see if McDonald's eventually brings this product to stores nationwide. In the meantime, you can try to DIY your own version. We've created a copycat version of the Oreo McFlurry, but swap out the Oreos for caramel, chocolate, and pretzels. You can even make a McFlurry without a blender, or if you're feeling the pretzels more than the ice cream, head over to Aldi for some chocolate toffee pretzels.
