Costco Shoppers Have Mixed Feelings About These Keto Mocha Coffee Boxes
It's not often that Costco puts out a new product that customers aren't ecstatic about. However, the membership-only, big-box retailer recently added a new product to their coffee aisle and, in this case, customers aren't too thrilled about it. According to the Instagram account Costco_doesitagain, the store is now selling Super Coffee's keto-friendly mocha beverages. What is Super Coffee? The brand prides itself on only using clean, sustainable ingredients in their products, meaning no added sugars or "shady ingredients" (via the official website).
Super Coffee's mocha drink has less than one gram of total sugar, which is a huge curb appeal for coffee drinkers that are looking to cut down on their sugar intake. Plus, it's only 80 calories per serving and has 10 grams of added protein, something not a lot of other coffee drinks can say. The healthier ready-to-drink coffee beverage is being sold by the dozen for $19.99 at Costco, per the Instagram post. But, before you head to your local store, it might be good to find out what shoppers are saying about it.
Super Coffee's "positive energy" beverage is not getting positive reviews
Sometimes — but not all the time — when a food or drink company brands themselves as healthy or clean, their products aren't as tasty to the customer. Typically, it's because we're used to consuming food and drinks high in sugar or other additives that make them taste irresistible. So when we do eat something without those "shady ingredients," our taste buds give off a what is this?! reaction. This seems to be the case with Super Coffee's mocha beverages, which recently hit shelves at Costco.
After Instagram account Costco_doesitagain shared the new product news, shoppers took to the comments to give their honest opinions. Spoiler alert: Most of them weren't in favor of this lactose-free, gluten-free, keto-friendly drink. One customer wrote, "I wasn't a fan," while another tagged their friend saying they did not approve of the drink. Somebody else commented, "Did not care for the taste of this one." Albeit, there were a few followers who were excited to try the coffee.
If you are interested in giving Super Coffee's mocha beverage a try, it's currently available at stores in Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, or online.
