Gather the ingredients

As we mentioned before, this recipe is relatively simple and requires only a few ingredients. You simply need plain bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to start. The recipe also calls for a few other spices, including oregano and paprika. To round off the list, you'll need extra-virgin olive oil and bone-in pork chops. Alternatively, Goldstein shares, "You can use panko for sure," but the authentic recipe uses bread crumbs.

Once you have everything together, you can get started!

Mix the spices

For the first step in the process, you'll need a Ziploc bag and all of your spices. Place the bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, and olive oil inside the bag. Seal the bag and mix everything until it's well combined. Alternatively, you can mix the spices in a bowl first and then transfer them into the Ziploc bag, but why waste a bowl? Once your spice mix looks similar to the photo, you're ready to move on to the next step.

Season and add the pork chops

Now, you can take out your pork chops and get them prepared for cooking. Season each with salt and pepper. Then, add each one to the Ziploc bag with the spices. Seal the bag and then shake to coat each pork chop with the delicious mixture. Then place it on a plate or tray.

This is so much easier than sprinkling on the spices with your hands and it coats the pork better. Repeat the steps with all of your pork chops and set them aside before you continue. You're almost ready to cook the pork chops. See? We told you it would be easy!

Cook the pork chops

For this step, you can place each of the pork chops on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Set your oven to 400 degrees F, and once it's hot and ready to go, set your timer for 25 minutes. Pop the pork chops in the oven and let them cook until your timer goes off. After that, take the pork chops out of the range. Now, you're pretty much ready to serve these.

Servings and leftovers

Once you finish cooking the pork chops, take them off of the baking sheet and transfer them to a plate. You can plate them however you choose, and that will probably depend on what you're eating them with.

There are plenty of items that pair well with this fantastic main course, including "creamy mashed potatoes, spinach, or fries," Goldstein says. As for leftovers, they should keep three to four days in the fridge.

Now that you have completed this quick and easy dish, you can enjoy with family and friends. Hopefully, you'll love these copycat Shake 'n Bake pork chops as much as we do!
