These Are Aldi's Most Underrated Products, According To A Store Manager
If you've ever been to an Aldi's, you know how magical it is. The store, which has overshadowed Trader Joe's in the minds of some fans looking for a cheaper grocery store option, has a selection of groceries that add up to a much lower receipt number than most others. Many a price comparison has proven that, like the one conducted in 2017 by a member of the Refinery29 team who found that overall Aldi's grocery items were of a lower price than those found at Trader Joe's.
Aldi also sells a yearly advent cheese calendar that wows consumers every year, and who can blame them? But while customers appreciate Aldi's "cheaper than the average grocery store" items, it would seem that there are some items that many customers tend to overlook. If you're a loyal Aldi shopper, you may want to read on and find out if you're making the mistake of overlooking these items too!
You heard it on Reddit first
Reddit is home to many fun facts, but this may just be one of the most valuable chains you'll want to continue to keep an eye on if you're an Aldi fan. An Aldi manager "of over 5" years conducted a Reddit AMA on which they were asked what "less popular" items are worth giving a try. The manager weighed in with quite the list.
They highlighted some favorites: "anything that is specially selected (black box)"; bargain-priced organic and "simply nature" products, which would be expensive anywhere else; breaded chicken in the white box; and their Irish butter, which is likened to Kerrygold, among other options. In the dessert category, the manager recommends Aldi brand chocolate, which they ranked among chocolates from around the world, chipwiches, and white chocolate macadamia nut bars.
So there you have it. If you're taking a trip to Aldi in the next few weeks, you may want to screenshot this list to keep in your back pocket!
