Trader Joe's Fans Are So Excited For Its New Sparkling Pineapple Green Tea
Your neighborhood grocery store, Trader Joe's, has a new canned sparkling pineapple green tea and it's what summer memories are made of. We first caught sight of the new beverage on the Instagram account @traderjoeslist, which is famously known for finding and posting the chain's deals and new happenings. According to the product photo on Instagram, the sparkling green tea with pineapple juice is retailing at $3.99 per pack; each pack includes four 8.45-ounce cans.
The account says this is a must-have for your list because of the health benefits packed into green tea. Per Healthline, green tea can help improve brain function (it's a stimulant like coffee), boost metabolism, reduce inflammation, and it's loaded with antioxidants. Additionally, the outlet reports it can get rid of bad breath and who doesn't want that? Combined with a splash of pineapple juice, this sweet and healthy-ish summer drink is not something you want to pass up.
Trader Joe's sparkling green tea with pineapple juice is the perfect mixer for cocktails
What makes Trader Joe's beverages so inviting and well-loved is that they're very versatile, meaning everyone can and will want to drink them. Almost all of them can be enjoyed as a standalone beverage or as a mixer in a cocktail.
While Instagram superfan @traderjoesobsessed prefers TJ's peach black tea to the new pineapple green tea cans, the account does recommend using the latter for mixed drinks. Their recipe recommendation for a boozy iced drink says to mix an almost-full can of the sparkling tea, two pieces of chile-spiced pineapples, a shot of your choice (we think vodka tastes best), a splash of Trader Joe's coconut smoothie juice, and a rosemary sprig for garnish. The account also notes to let the concoction stand for five minutes and then to mix again before sipping. You can also make this a mocktail by just leaving out the liquor!
Trader Joe's fans are going wild in the comments and are more than eager to get their hands on a four-pack. Hurry to your nearest Trader Joe's location before they're all sold out!
