All The Free Food You Can Get After You're Vaccinated
Now that the COVID-19 vaccine is readily available for most people in the United States, nearly one-third of all adults in the country have been fully vaccinated (via NPR). So if you are one of the 84 million people who have received the shot, you're in luck — and not just because of your growing defense against the virus. Those who are vaccinated can get a lot of great food and drink freebies all over the country.
From free beer to mouth-watering desserts, there's a lot to claim after you get your dose. Of course, one of the favorite giveaways for the vaccinated so far has been the much-talked-about free Krispy Kreme doughnuts. However, these freebies are just scratching the surface. In fact, you can get free edibles from The Mint Dispensary in Phoenix, Arizona (via Fortune). Staples and Office Depot will even laminate your COVID-19 vaccination card for free, according to CNN, so you can ensure it will hold up to the wear and tear you're going to be giving it as you work your way through this list.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme was among the first to offer a food promotion for getting vaccinated. The beloved doughnut shop even filled out a promotional vaccine card with the name "Jane Dough," which of course went viral on Twitter. The best part of Krispy Kreme's promotion is that once you have been vaccinated, you can get months of free doughnuts without restriction. Anyone with a vaccine card can go to a chain and get one free Original Glazed doughnut per day, according to Krispy Kreme. You don't even have to make a qualifying purchase.
Junior's Cheesecake
Cheesecake fans will be happy to know there's a sweet deal waiting for them after their COVID-19 shot. For those who live in or are near New York City, Junior's Cheesecake is offering a great freebie for vaccinated guests. You can stop by the Flatbush Avenue location to pick up a free mini cheesecake when you show your vaccination card, according to CNN. This free mini cheesecake offer is available now through May 31.
White Castle
White Castle is offering free dessert to those who have had a vaccination. All you have to do to get a free dessert-on-a-stick is show proof of getting the vaccine, per a press release. You will, however, have to act fast. The promotion only runs between April 22 and May 31. If you've already had your shot or will by this month, you can choose between Fudge Dipped Brownie-on-a-Stick, Fudge Dipped Cheesecake-on-a-Stick, Gooey Buttercake-on-a-Stick, or the new 100th anniversary flavor, Birthday Cake-on-a-Stick.
Nathan's Hot Dogs
Another New York-specific freebie is Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, according to CNN. Those who visit can present their vaccination card to get a free hot dog. Apart from this food freebie only being in New York, there's, unfortunately, another stipulation. You have to go to the Coney Island location of Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs on the same day that you get your shot. So, if you haven't received your vaccine yet or you still have one more dose to go, plan to make the trek to the beach after getting the jab.
So Good So You
So Good So You is offering a deal that anyone can take advantage of, and it's an ongoing freebie. According to Thrillist, those who get vaccinated can get a free probiotic juice shot from So Good So You. All vaccinated people have to do is fill out a form online at FreeJuiceShot.com to get a rebate to shop at a local grocery store, such as Publix or Target. The shots come in flavors like ginger, turmeric, and elderberry.
Super Duper Burgers
According to Restaurant Business, Super Duper Burgers located in the Bay Area are giving away free fries to those who have been vaccinated. The one drawback is that you'll need to show a photo of yourself at a vaccination center from social media rather than your vaccination card. Those who volunteer at vaccination centers are also eligible for this freebie.
Uno Dos Tacos, which has the same owner as Super Duper Burgers, is offering a similar promotion. Instead of fries, customers can get free chips and salsa.
Budweiser Beer
Budweiser wants its fans to upload a photo of themselves with a vaccination sticker to their website to get a free beer, according to a press release received by Mashed. When you do, the beer brand will give you a free $5 virtual debit card so you can go and buy yourself a Budweiser on the company. While Budweiser offered this promotion early in the efforts towards mass vaccination, the deal won't last forever. In fact, it ends on May 16.
Sam Adams
Sam Adams wants to give you a free beer for getting the jab. They ask that fans share a COVID-19 vaccination photo to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ShotForSam. Avoid sharing information from your vaccination card. Instead, it could be a photo outside the vaccination center, of your bandage, or of your vaccination sticker. Once you've uploaded the photo with the hashtag, Sam Adams will send you $7 on Cash App through May 15 (via Twitter).
