We're thinking outside the bun for this one. This chalupa supreme requires ingredients from previous recipes that we have shared. Our copycat homemade chalupa tastes just the real thing. In fact, it's even fresher than hitting the drive-thru, and it's super-simple to make. Our recipe produces a perfectly crunchy yet almost buttery chalupa.

This recipe also calls for our version of copycat Taco Bell ground beef. You'll get all the wonderful flavors of the beef with added spices for richness and a generous portion of sugar and salt. It's also deliciously moist and tender thanks to a very special secret ingredient.

Assemble this Taco Bell Chalupa Supreme copycat recipe and serve

It's almost eating time! Once you've prepared both your homemade chalupa shell and homemade copycat Taco Bell Beef, you can build this Taco Bell Chalupa Supreme copycat recipe. However you layer ingredients is fine based on your preference, but if you want the real Taco Bell experience, Carli suggests adding a quarter of a cup of beef to each chalupa first. You will then layer a tablespoon of diced tomatoes, two tablespoons of shredded lettuce, two tablespoons of Mexican cheese, and two tablespoons of sour cream.

Feel free to get creative here. If you want more cheese, go for it! Carli also suggests a fun variation that sees the additional topping of our copycat Taco Bell quesadilla sauce. Not that we expect you to have any leftovers (because it's that good), but these do not keep well, so you're going to want to throw a fiesta and devour them all in one sitting.
