Why You Should Think Twice About Eating IHOP Eggs
IHOP is quite the American institution, right? As reported by Money Inc, IHOP does a fabulous job of serving delicious dishes for breakfast as well as other meals. Plus, its popularity isn't exactly a secret. IHOP has restaurants not just in the U.S., but also in international locations such as the Middle East, Latin America, and more.
IHOP, as illustrated by Eat This, Not That!, is a particularly good choice if you like feasting on breakfast items during the day. Sadly, if you're health-conscious, you do need to be mindful while eating at an IHOP. For example, ordering a meal such as Country Fried Steak & Eggs can really set you back and ruin your health goals. What's worth noting, though, is that some innocent looking IHOP items such as eggs aren't exactly safe to eat. The reason? They're occasionally not cooked the way they're supposed to be prepared. Yikes.
You may not get what you wish for
As per many diners, IHOP reportedly fails in terms of offering high-quality eggs. In fact, if you're really unlucky, you may have to make do with eggs that are undercooked and definitely not up to the mark. One diner wrote about their experience on Tripadvisor and said that they were really let down by the quality of the eggs. "I always ask for whites cooked thoroughly when asking for eggs," they explained. "This restaurant has never been able to do this." Uh-oh! The reviewer added that this can also be a potential health hazard and cause problems.
Another irate IHOP customer posted a photo of their meal on Reddit and claimed that they waited for an hour only to be served raw eggs. From a health perspective, you should definitely stay away from raw eggs. As reported by CBC News, consuming undercooked eggs can cause problems such as salmonella poisoning and make you very ill. Be careful!
