Costco Fans Love These Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds
Costco is carrying bags of sprouted pumpkin seeds, and they're the snack shoppers didn't know they needed. The bags of sprouted pumpkin seeds were first spotted in a Costco store in the northwestern part of the country by Instagram fan account @CostcoDeals. The account posted a photo on Thursday, April 1st, which received more than 800 likes in less than a day.
Pumpkin seeds are chock full of great nutrients and they're also rich in antioxidants (via Healthline). But if the nutritional value of the salty snack with a snap isn't reason enough, the taste and texture certainly are. It seems the nutrition played a part in @CostcoDeals picking them up. The caption read, "delicious @GO_RAW Organic Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt are now available in @Costco warehouses in the NW Region: Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, Anchorage, Eugene, Spokane, Vancouver WA! Only $8.99 for an 18oz bag!" That's quite a deal on a bag of ready to eat pumpkin seeds that big.
The caption went on to expound the many reasons you'll love the seeds. It said, "Go Raw Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds are minimally processed and handcrafted using only a few, simple, high-quality ingredients! 8g plant-based protein per serving. Made with only 2 ingredients! With a light crunchy texture, these seeds are an excellent source of antioxidants, Vitamin E, Zinc, Copper, and Magnesium."
This is how people are using them
The many different ways you can use the sprouted pumpkin seeds to top dishes makes them incredibly versatile, too. The caption continued, "perfect for adding flavor, protein, and crunch to your avocado toast, soup, salad, trail mix, and yogurt... or eat them as a snack right out of the bag." So go ahead and add them to your cart so you can plan some delicious meals with them.
Some customers have their fingers crossed that the sprouted pumpkin seeds will make it to their regions. One person said, "hopefully they get these in AZ!!" Another wrote, "Will North Carolina get some in?" While it isn't clear, someone who's already a fan commented, "these are so good!" It might, perhaps, be rubbing it in a little for those who haven't had them stocked at their Costco stores yet.
Others described how they like to use the seeds. One person responded, "I bought these over a year ago and they are still crispy and delicious!" Someone else said, "I put them in/on salads, oatmeal, homemade granola." However you use them, they're worth picking up and giving them a try.
