St. Patrick's Day 2021: Where To Get The Best Food Freebie & Deals
St. Patrick's Day is this week, and it's high time you start thinking about how to save your gold coins. While you might not find any leprechauns or four leaf clovers, you shouldn't have any trouble finding great deals on food, drinks, and treats this holiday. Whether you love all of the classic Irish dishes or you just want to take advantage of the best freebies out there, there are plenty of options to choose from this St. Patrick's Day.
One deal you'll definitely want to participate in, has everything to do with getting you up and going in the morning. According to a press release received by Mashed, Peet's Coffee is offering 35 percent off of the first shipment of any Peet's Coffee subscription between March 17 and 24. That's a St. Patrick's Day deal that will continue to be a delicious start to the day, well after the green decor and clothing have been put away.
Where to eat on St. Patrick's Day
Quite a few chains are celebrating the luck of the Irish with a deal on food and drinks on or around the holiday. Chili's will offer a $5 Lucky Jameson Margarita special through the end of March (via Eat Drink Deals). Logan's Roadhouse will have green beer, which is a staple of St. Patrick's Day of course. Those who prefer to celebrate at home this year, can also order a Roadhouse Party Pack to pick up for $30 that has quite a few food options that serve 10 to 12 people.
Omaha Steaks is offering a deal on some of their catalog too. Families can order the Beef Shepherd's Pie for $20 or order the Classic Corned Beef Dinner for $120, which saves 35 percent and includes 10 dishes. There's also a Build Your Own St. Patrick's Day Feast that is normally about $188, but is now on sale for $120 and feeds four. Finally, the Corned Beef Slow Cooker Meal, which includes 18 dishes, is just $100, which is 41 percent off.
TGI Fridays is using the whiskey in the kitchen, rather than the bar this year. They're offering a Whiskey-Glaze Bundle that includes six whiskey-glazed chicken breasts, two racks of whiskey-glazed ribs, a choice of salad and two sides, and a half gallon of iced tea or lemonade for $60, according to Mashed's press release.
St. Patrick's Day sweet treats
There are plenty of sweet treats to indulge in too. Cold Stone Creamery has partnered with General Mills to create their Ice Cream at the End of the Rainbow, which features Lucky Charms and gold glitter. You can get it now through the end of March. Of course, you can also pick up a box of the limited-edition Lucky Charms that turns milk green (via Delish). Goldbelly is also celebrating by offering free shipping on tons of their St. Patrick's Day food items both sweet and savory. There's a sprinkle layer cake by We Take the Cake for $89 or Centerville Pie Co.'s shepherd's pie for $69.
Of course, Krispy Kreme fans will be happy about the Luck O' the Doughnuts Collection that features a St. Patrick's Day themed box. It includes donuts decorated with leprechauns, unicorns, and more and is available through March 17. Those who show up to their location wearing green not only will avoid being pinched, they'll even get a free green O'riginal Glazed Doughnut for free on March 17, per Eat Drink Deals. McDonald's also has a signature treat for the day that many love — the Shamrock Shake. Customers can get free delivery on orders of $20 or more with UberEats between March 15 and 21, so add it to your order. No matter how you celebrate, it's sure to be a sweet day full of good bites.
