Alex Guarnaschelli's 'Guilty Pleasure' Food Is Super Relatable
Celebrity Alex Guarnaschelli is an impressive culinary icon. As per The Daily Meal, Guarnaschelli offers a lot of inspiration — just look at her body of work. She has several important experiences under her belt such as studying and working at La Varenne Culinary School in France, working at the Michelin-starred restaurant Guy Savoy, and cooking at La Butte Chaillot and New York's Daniel restaurant. To the chef's credit, she's ensured that she never overlooks any opportunities that come her way.
Guarnaschelli has also sought plenty of inspiration from her mother, who worked as a cookbook editor. "I honestly feel as if I learned to eat according to whatever cookbook my mother was working on at the time," she wrote on her website.
According to Taste of Home, Guarnaschelli has certain go-to ingredients that she always turns to while she's cooking up a storm in the kitchen. One consistent example? Vinegar. Guarnaschelli thinks it's a quintessential ingredient that works wonders for many dishes.
She loves a classic dessert
As Guarnaschelli tweeted, one of her "guilty pleasures" is something that plenty of us love with equal ardor — "vanilla ice-cream with warm dark chocolate sauce." A super classic pick, many can relate to happily digging into a bowl of ice cream with some chocolate sauce on the side.
A fan expressed solidarity with Guarnaschelli and wrote, "I feel this. I'm a sucker for a classic hot fudge sundae." Another witty Twitter user had more advice for a quick fix: pop Toblerone chocolate into the microwave for a little bit and enjoy the gooey dessert with a big spoon. That does sound amazing, eh?
Guarnaschelli also told Food Network in an interview about one of the most memorable meals of her life: when she was a child, her mom cooked her a birthday meal, replete with scallops and chocolate caramel cake. Deliciousness!
