Chick-Fil-A Just Announced This Spicy Fan Favorite Was Never Actually Discontinued
We all know the feeling that comes with a discontinued fast food item — pain. The cruel realization of wanting to enjoy one of your favorite mouthwatering items, only to realize it's been taken off the menu, is sometimes too much to bear. So, we'll find a quick replacement to fill the void. We've faced this one too many times before, like when we said goodbye to the Mexican Pizza at Taco Bell and were left completely devastated, or even the more recent removal of KFC's potato wedges.
It seems there's no stopping the growing list of discontinued fast food items, and along with it, the growing heartbreak that has caused many food enthusiasts to plead for a triumphant return of burgers or tacos via social media campaigns. While some restaurants have removed items from menus all over the country, some of the most sought-out classics are secretly hiding out as a menu option — like Chick-fil-A's famous Spicy Chicken Biscuit (via Yahoo!).
You can still find Chick-fil-A's Spicy Chicken Biscuit
Just shy of adding all 50 states to its ever-growing list of locations, Chick-fil-A had yet to set-up shop in Alaska, Vermont, and Hawaii, but that hasn't stopped the fast-food giant from gaining a cult following (via Chick-fil-A). For loyal Chick-fil-A lovers across the country who've memorized the menu and thought the Spicy Chicken Biscuit was forever removed in 2016, it actually wasn't. That's right — as if this was straight out of a daytime soap opera — Chick-fil-A recently confirmed the Spicy Chicken Biscuit has been there the whole time (via The Chickenwire). We can practically hear the gasps everywhere.
"What many might not know is that as of 2021, the Spicy Chicken Biscuit is still served at Chick-fil-A restaurants in and around 95 cities across the country. So let's extinguish this fire once and for all," the company mentioned on their site. The spicy, freshly-breaded chicken breast sandwich served on a buttermilk biscuit is up on their menu, so long as you're in the right city (via Chick-fil-A). So, check your city's availability before your visit. We'll just be here pretending as if 2016 never happened and finally reunite with the chicken sandwich of our dreams.
