The Real Reason Chick-Fil-A Is Removing These Two Breakfast Items Permanently
Chick-fil-A is one of the biggest fast food chains in the country. Basically, if you're a fan of chicken sandwiches, you're bound to like Chick-fil-A, which is a favorite to win the heated chicken sandwich wars. The brand has an interesting breakfast menu too, by the way. According to Spoon University, some of the best breakfast items that you can opt for at the restaurant include hash browns, Chick-n-Minis, the Greek Yogurt Parfait, scrumptious breakfast platters, and the Breakfast Burrito.
If you're a fan of Chick-fil-A's breakfast menu, we have news for you. The fast food chain is making a few interesting changes to its lineup. In case you're curious, yes, this may have an impact on your favorite breakfast meal at Chick-fil-A, and no, you won't necessarily like the change. That might be especially true if you hate caffeine or love carbs.
Say goodbye to decaf coffee and bagels
As reported by Today, Chick-fil-A is getting rid of decaf coffee as well as the bagels on its breakfast menu. The company issued a statement that read, "Later this spring, we will remove two items from the national menu, the bagel and decaf hot coffee, as well as consolidate several of our size offerings." It added that the changes have only been introduced to streamline the brand's menu and offer high-quality food and service to its patrons.
One might also suspect that the timing is pandemic-related. The pandemic has affected the fast food industry in more ways than one, causing many big names to simplify their menus to make life easier for their staff members. Take McDonald's, for example. In March last year, the brand eliminated several dishes from its menu, IHop and Taco Bell followed its lead in the months that followed. Well, Chick-fil-A has also introduced several changes to its menu, but the brand has insisted that its latest changes aren't because of the pandemic.
