Dunkin's Iced Coffee Flavored Jelly Beans Are Turning Heads
While many people run to Dunkin' for coffee, Dunkin's iced coffee flavored jelly beans might have the Easter Bunny running to the store for a new jelly bean flavor. As shared by by Candy Hunting on Instagram, Dunkin's iced coffee-flavored jelly beans are a "Walgreen exclusive." Frankford Candy has licensed the Dunkin' brand and each bag features five flavors of jelly beans, including "Toasted Coconut, French Vanilla, Hazelnut, Caramel Latte, and Butter Pecan." It is unclear if the jelly beans contain any caffeine.
While people can debate the best Dunkin' coffee beverage, the five flavors of jelly beans seem to be considered popular beverage choices. It remains to be seen if consumers can easily identify each jelly bean flavor by visual cues. More importantly, it will be curious to determine if people get creative with flavor combinations. While Totally the Bomb reported that two bags of the Dunkin's ice coffee flavored jelly beans were just 2/$6, some people might want to buy extra to create some coffee candy flavor combination experiments.
Has Dunkin' released a candy before?
While Dunkin' often offers new beverages and donut flavors, the brand has another coffee-flavored candy on the market. Dunkin' Donuts Coffee Thins are "creamy treats made from Dunkin's specially roasted coffee beans" (via Candy Industry). Although not a chocolate, these candies do deliver a smooth, rich coffee-infused flavor because they are made from ground coffee beans (via the company's website). This candy is available in both original blend and caramel.
And, in 2001, Dunkin' partnered with Jelly Belly to offer some Jelly Belly-inspired donuts. Featuring the Jelly Belly flavors of Cotton Candy, Watermelon, and Grape, Dunkin' released special limited edition donuts. Although that partnership has long passed, Jelly Belly currently offers a Kripsy Kreme Doughnuts Jelly Bean mix and offers a cappuccino-flavored jelly bean.
With the new Dunkin's iced coffee-flavored jelly beans, some people might be running to the candy aisle to get their Dunkin' coffee flavor fix.
