This was in response to a curious Redditor who wondered if the food is really "made-to-order.'" The ex-manager explained that the brand doesn't even like keeping out food for too long. "Predominantly, it's made pretty close. Hot food doesn't sit out any longer than 20 minutes and the salads and other prep food are made fresh each morning." So, if you've been worried about the quality of fresh food available at the restaurant, you can breathe easy. As per an Insider piece, chicken at every Chick-fil-A outlet is never frozen, and employees work with fresh produce every day.
If you're really wary of getting a super fresh meal, Spoon University has a useful tip for you if you're a Chick-fil-A loyalist: ask for customized dishes to get them hot. Why? Well, whenever the staff members need to tweak a dish, they cook them separately instead of tossing them in with the other items.
