Bachelorette Star Mike Johnson Has A New Food Show. Here's What You Need To Know
Former Bachelorette star Mike Johnson is set to host a food show, putting his foodie chops to the test on a digital short series for Fox called That Looks Good (via Us Weekly). Johnson was a contestant on season 15 of The Bachelorette, but was eliminated by Hannah Brown. He reappeared on Bachelor in Paradise last year, but was cut, to a collective outcry from his many, many heartbroken fans (via Flare).
In his reality show stints, Johnson endeared himself to what Entertainment Weekly calls a "vocal contingent of fans" with his sense of humor and effortless ability to make fun of himself — and, you know, probably the being handsome part, too. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said he thought he'd make a good Bachelor "because my mom has taught me good things in life ... [to] truly listen and pay attention and not just have an agenda of my own." Um, yes?
Mike Johnson's new food show will celebrate unlikely holidays
Needless to say, fans were left wanting more, and they'll get it with this new series, which will explore various unusual and obscure food holidays, starting with National Bagel Day, according to Delish. It's about time someone recognized food "holidays," which don't necessarily always get their due. Maybe it's because there's so many of them — over 321, according to a post from Johnson's Instagram, including — wait for it — National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day and National Roast Suckling Pig Day (via National Today).
Now, we can't know for sure which food holidays That Looks Good will cover, but we do know there it will premiere on January 15 and run through May. You can find them on Fox's "Taste of Fox" YouTube channel and the FOX Now app, according to Us Weekly.
Johnson will explore the history of the culinary holidays, eat some good food, and share fun facts. If everything goes well, we can expect more positive vibes and the occasional potty humor from the food-loving heartthrob.
