Shake Shack's New Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa Shake Has People Talking
We've been fans of Shake Shack's Shack-made Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate for years now, ever since this winter offering first debuted in 2016 (via Shake Shack). Now, milkshake enthusiasts and chocolate lovers who live in warmer areas can really enjoy this new take on the Shake Shack classic — the Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa shake.
The shake was spotted by junk food expert CandyHunting, the Instagrammer who specializes in getting to snack news before anyone else. (In the past few weeks alone, the same page broke the news of the new Cap'n Crunch's Oops! All Mega Berries Snack Pouches, the new Kellogg's Eggo Chocolate Waffle Cereal, and the Easter-themed Mallow-Top Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.) "Shake Shack has a new Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa shake!" CandyHunting captioned the post. "It has brownie batter hot cocoa frozen custard made with Ghirardelli chocolate and is topped with whipped cream, brownie brittle, and mini marshmallows."
Available now for a limited time
"Snag our new Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa Shake, topped with brownie brittle and mini marshmallows," the Shake Shack homepage announces, adding that this shake is only going to be available for a limited time. If you're a chocolate fan looking for a sweet seasonal treat, you can pick up one of these frozen desserts at your local Shake Shack today.
Product descriptions on Uber Eats, GrubHub, and Seamless add that the shake is made with a hot cocoa frozen custard base made with Ghirardelli chocolate, that it's mixed with hand-spun brownie batter, and that it's topped with a swirl of whipped cream. Plus, at some locations you can opt to add malt to the shake for an extra 50 cents. The shake's price varies a little from location to location, but it costs about $6. According to Postmates it's 880 calories, which is a little more than the chain's SmokeShack bacon cheeseburger.
