Trader Joe's Shoppers Are Psyched For This Spicy Habanero Crisp
It's probably safe to say that almost anyone who has shopped at a Trader Joe's is aware of the store's cult-like following. It's so popular, one Canadian even invented Pirate Joe's. While low prices for quality items are likely one reason for the loyal following, the grocery retailer's roster of new and seasonal items is probably another draw too. The latest product to garner the public's attention was spotted on shelves and posted on Instagram by both fan accounts traderjoe'slist and traderjoe'sobsessed.
According to the posts, the budget-friendly grocer just released the Hot Hot Crispy Habanero Peppers in 4.94-ounce jars. In less than a day, traderjoe'slist's post had received more than 7,100 likes. The caption for the post read, "I am a big fan of heat and I am so excited and also a little scared to try these." The post included a second photo of the back of the jar which showed the nutritional information for the crispy peppers: the peppers are 70 calories, have 55 milligrams of sodium, two grams of carbs, and zero grams of sugar.
