The Real Reason Chipotle Just Named A Burrito After Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is everywhere these days, and not just because she's famous. Thanks to her new album Plastic Hearts, her fans have been going on TikTok to try their luck in a challenge asking Cyrus to comment on whatever it is they want to do. So far, the viral social media platform has seen "If Miley Cyrus comments on this, I'll dye my hair and tell my crush I like them," to which Cyrus responded: "Or her:)." Then there was "If Miley Cyrus comments on this video, I'll stop texting him" and the star responded with "D.U.M.P H.I.M" with the skull and crossbones. And then there was "If Miley Cyrus comments, we will get married," and she said: "Hope it goes better for you two than it did for me. Congrats" (via BuzzFeed).
With all that going on, we could guess that it was only a matter of time before a popular fast food chain would get in on the action, and sure enough, Chipotle chimed in with the TikTok post, "if miley cyrus comments, we'll make a miley burrito in our app" along with an image of a Chipotle burrito marked "Miley." Cyrus did her bit and challenged the chain by setting one condition: "only if you name it 'the Guac is extra but so is Miley burrito'"... and Chipotle obliged by asking Cyrus to "dm us your order?" (via BuzzFeed).
The Miley burrito is available for a limited time
Because Chipotle is a chain that is true to its word, the Miley Cyrus burrito is now a thing, with the name that Cyrus specifically requested that it be called. The dish, which is called "Guac Is Extra But So Is Miley Burrito" is available through the quick-service restaurant's app and costs $8.75. What you get is 1030 calories of burrito goodness that brings together veggies with white rice, black beans, fajita veggies, roasted chili-con-carne salsa, tomatillo-red chili salsa, romaine lettuce, and guacamole (via Twitter). It might sound like a lot, but as Delish points out, the burrito is actually inspired by the singer's favorite order.
Unfortunately, like all good things, the burrito is a limited-time offer, and only available by ordering it online. If you go to the restaurant to order in person, make sure a list is handy because as Delish points out, you'll have to assemble the Cyrus burrito by reciting all the ingredients on the spot.
