Aldi Fans Are So Excited For The Return Of This Festive Brioche
There are some items you just shouldn't buy from Aldi, but brioche is most definitely not on that list. In fact, their Specially Selected brand brioche buns made both the 2019 and 2020 fan favorite list for best bread or baked good from the supermarket chain (via PR Newswire). So, it should come as no surprise that the return of Specially Selected's holiday brioche bread was met with excitement on social media.
Instagrammer @aldi.mademedoit posted a shot of the Christmas tree-shaped vanilla cream brioche with the caption: "Reason #5 I love @aldiusa they just make the cutest things ever! I [sic] stinking brioche Christmas tree. Do you like brioche bread? What flavor is your favorite?!" The post was met with over 700 likes, and comments like: "uhm LOVE" and "Omg NEED." The comments were also full of people mentioning their brioche preference, between the vanilla cream and the chocolate chip versions. The best part might be that this beautiful holiday brunch centerpiece will only set you back $6.99 (via Aldi).
Even more brioche favorites from Aldi
If the Christmas tree-shaped brioche just isn't your style, no worries, you can still find plenty of tasty brioche from Aldi. Their standard brioche buns (available year-round) are so beloved that you can find countless positive reviews and even memes about them online (via Instagram).
There is also a second seasonal option from Specially Selected, their brioche star. She Knows says the festive treat is made up of brioche swirls stuffed with a rich creme patisserie filling. The brioche star only costs $5.99, which is good in case you wind up eating the whole thing in one day. For a more casual breakfast, the brioche bagels are a great option (via Delish). According to Reddit, they're not exactly bagel in the traditional sense of the word, but they do toast up well and make for a delicious breakfast meal. Of course you could just stick with the classic brioche buns, which are definitely a fan favorite for a reason.
