Here's How You Can Get A Free Thanksgiving Dinner From Walmart
It's less than two weeks until Thanksgiving, a holiday that usually brings families together for good food, football, and fun. But the unfortunate truth is this has been a difficult year for many, and around the holidays, financial worries often only add to the stress. According to the mobile technology company Ibotta's 2020 Thanksgiving Survey, over one-third of Americans will be tightening the purse strings and are planning to shell out less money this Thanksgiving than they did last year, per 9 News.
Ibotta wanted to find a way to help people save on their holiday shopping, so the tech company teamed up with Campbell's, Butterball, Coca-Cola, and Walmart to launch the Free Thanksgiving Dinner program. The program is simple, and anyone can get a free dinner by simply downloading the Ibotta browser extension or app. Shoppers can then add the qualifying items to their Walmart list in the app to receive 100 percent cash back on the value of the ingredients of a full Thanksgiving dinner for five people.
The offer includes nine Free Thanksgiving Dinner items
"Walmart is proud to team up with Ibotta this Thanksgiving to put meals on the tables of thousands of families across the U.S. at a time when they may need it most," Sarah Henry, Walmart Sr. Director of Content & Influencer Marketing, said, per ABC 10 News. Per the Ibotta website, the deal includes all flavors of the Butterball 3-pound turkey roast (or cashback), Great Value stuffing mix, Idahoan instant mashed potatoes, Great Value cranberry sauce, and a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola, among other items.
These ingredients can be redeemed for cash back through the app, for a value of up to $20.27. Shoppers will have up to seven days to redeem their cashback. Although times are tough for many, not having to pay full price for a Thanksgiving dinner can hopefully reduce some of the stress that comes with getting the feast on the table. This offer is available for both pick-up, delivery, and in-store at all Walmart locations.
