Cinnabon's Cream Cheese Frosting Makes Holiday Brunch A Snap
Cinnabon might use the warm scent of cinnamon wafting from strategically placed ovens to lure you into its shops, but it's the frosting that we dream about. Remember when Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper fall in love and burst into a duet in A Star is Born? Each of them asks each other, "Or do you need more? Is there somethin' else you're searchin' for? " When they performed the song, live, for the Oscars, all of Hollywood sighed, lost in bittersweet heartbreak and existential crises. Not us. If Lady Gaga or Bradley Cooper had asked us, we'd have had an answer ready. We were "searchin' for" Cinnabon's frosting. That's just the way we roll.
As of today, November 16, 2020, it's Instagram official. Cinnabon's come to our (and if you buy some before we do, to your) rescue. You have ten days until Thanksgiving to stock up on pints of their signature frosting for all your holiday brunch needs. Did we say brunch? We meant, of course, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and every minute in between. "More so this year and especially during the holidays, cooking at home and enjoying meals together are central to how families are spending their time," Karyn Sarago, Cinnabon chief marketing officer, said in a press release, "Cinnabon fans know our signature frosting makes our classic cinnamon rolls and holiday favorite PecanBon cinnamon roll oh-so-craveable — and now fans can bring that same frosting home as the perfect accompaniment to holiday cooking, baking and holiday movie watching."
What to eat with Cinnabon's frosting, according to Twitter
If Twitter is any indication, Cinnabon's cream cheese frosting by-the-pint is already a veritable holiday craze. "I will be immediately drinking this frosting," wrote a Twitter user after hearing the news. "Just found out that @Cinnabon sells their frosting by the pint now and the day is a micro-fraction more tolerable," sighed another in relief. "This is the type of good the world needs right now," a tweet affirmed.
Cinnabon's cream cheese frosting is yours for prices starting at $5.99 a pint. And really, let your imagination go wild. If it were up to one Twitter user, he'd use the frosting on sugar cookies. (Don't forget those sweet potatoes, too!" Cinnabon tweeted back). If it were up to us, we'd give the prize to author Adam Chandler, who writes about fast food for a living and who clearly knows the worth of Cinnabon's cream cheese frosting. He tweeted, "I can't think of one I wouldn't use frosting with. Maybe green beans. Maybe." To which Cinnabon replied, "Green beans and frosting could be the next holiday food craze, Adam!" Just one closing thought: Hallelujah.
