Halloween 2020: Where To Get The Best Food Freebies And Deals
Halloween is just a couple of days away now, and there are hopefully going to be a lot more treats than tricks this year. Whether you have plans to safely go out trick-or-treating or if you're thinking of just celebrating at home with a stack of scary movies, things can get hectic before you know it. That can make meals hard to organize, especially when you're just one step away from deciding to simply settle in with a bowl full of candy. Fortunately, this year's food freebies and deals include some awesome delivery options for an easy holiday night.
Even if you might not be able to celebrate Halloween in the most traditional of ways this year, there are still plenty of chains offering sweet and savory freebies and deals all day long that you won't want to miss. From breakfast to dinner, and even a juice smoothie to help you recover from all of that candy the next day, Halloween 2020 will be a holiday with more deals than you can probably take advantage of.
Pizza promotions worth ordering
The first pizza deal taking place is at Blaze Pizza. They've partnered up with Crunch to give away free full-size Crunch Bars on Halloween, but you'll have to act early. Each location only has 350 candy bars to give away. No purchase is required, and they'll start giving them out one per person at 4 p.m. on October 31st until they run out (via Deseret).
Chuck E. Cheese is also offering quite a few deals. Every child who visits wearing their costume now through Halloween will get a free treat bag. The chain is also offering an At Home Halloween Party pack that comes with pizza, dessert, and treat bags that can be carried out or delivered straight to your door.
Chew Boom reports that Papa John's Jack-O'-Lantern Pizza is back again this year for just $11 through Halloween. It's an unsliced pizza in the shape of a pumpkin topped with a pepperoni face.
Finally, 7-Eleven will be offering buy-one-get-one pizza on October 30th and 31st this year. Participating stores will offer the deal for in-store purchase, order-ahead-pickup, and delivery. Just scan your 7Rewards barcode at checkout to take advantage of the deal. Two orders per customer each day is allowed. If you order using the delivery app, enter code 7NOW (via Retail Me Not).
Savory bites before heading out
Chipotle is offering their "Boorito" online this year, but there's also a social media contest involved. If you check their Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok between Thursday, October 29th and Halloween, you could score a code for a buy-one-get-one free entrée deal, which can be redeemed on Halloween. (via Retail Me Not)
Burger King released a list of "the scariest places on earth" this year — shuttered locations of their fast food rivals, according to CNN. Fans who drive within 300 feet of these abandoned storefronts can claim a coupon for a free Whopper through the Burger King app. Otherwise, Chew Boom says you can get a $5 meal when you click under the Scary Places tile on the app if you don't want to or can't visit the locations.
Red Lobster is giving away free Seafood-Stuffed mushrooms with dine-in or to go orders for over $40 with the code "LOBSTER28" between now and November 1st. You can also get free delivery on Halloween day if you place your order on their website.
Wendy's fans can get a free small Frosty with a purchase on Halloween, according to a press release Mashed received. Just visit the brand's Twitter page and click on the link to enter the email associated with your Wendy's app. After entering your email, you'll automatically get the deal, but you'll need to redeem it by November 8th. Those who don't have the app will need to download it to get the promotion.
Easy kid's meals for Halloween
There are tons of great kid's meal deals this year, starting with Corner Bakery Cafe. Deseret says you can get a free kid's meal with the purchase of an adult meal. You can also enter their social media contest by posting a photo of your costumed kids with the hashtag #CBCHalloween during the week leading up to the spooky day. Three winners will get free cookies for a year.
Similar to Corner Bakery Cafe (minus the costume contest) Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. will be letting kids eat free on Halloween when you purchase an adult entrée as well. Friendly's is also offering free kid's meals with the purchase of an adult entrée between October 25th and Halloween, but requires the children be in costume to redeem the prize. Not quite free, though possibly cheaper if you choose not to get any food yourself, Dairy Queen will be offering $1.99 kid's meals on the 31st through the DQ app.
QSR Magazine says Steak 'n Shake is offering kids under the age of 12 in a costume a free shake. Flavors they can choose from include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, chocolate chip cookie dough, M&M, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. Hey, even if they don't get something substantial, it's one more way to get some sugar.
Halloween delivery deals you won't want to miss
Those looking for great delivery deals can turn to a number of chains this Halloween. Applebee's is giving away free boneless wings with any purchase of $30 or more for pickup or delivery according to Delish, while Retail Me Not reports $5 Spooky Sips in flavors Dracula's Juice and Tipsy Zombie served in a "signature Mucho glass".
Deseret states that Denny's is giving $5 off of every order of $25 or more when it's made online or in the app using code 5OFF25 now through Halloween.
McDonald's McDelivery orders placed through Uber Eats are being delivered for free when the order is at least $25 all Halloween weekend. Jimmy John's is offering a nationwide promotion for buy-one-get-one 50 percent off. Just use "SAVEON2" any day between now and November 8th when you order online or on the app.
Sweet treats worth making a trip for
To get to the good stuff, the sweet treats, you can head to IHOP. There, Delish states you'll get Mr. Mummy pancakes free for kids 12 and under from now till the 30th (so not actual Halloween day). They are also sending this not-so-spooky breakfast for free if you place an order for $20 or more on IHOP N GO using the code FREEMUMMY at checkout.
Krispy Kreme is selling Sweet or Treat donuts by the dozen for $1 when you buy another dozen on Halloween, according to Deseret. Tim Hortons is giving away one free Halloween donut to each person who comes through their U.S. drive-thru locations in costume on Halloween.
When you order at least $30 worth from The Cheesecake Factory on their website or DoorDash, you'll get a free slice of Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake or Hershey's Chocolate Bar Cheesecake using the code "TREAT."
Baskin-Robbins has a number of Halloween ice cream cakes, and Retail Me Not says those who spend $10 or more through Uber Eats will get free delivery now through November 4th. Insomnia Cookies is giving away free cookies to anyone who pops into their stores dressed up on Halloween, no purchase necessary.
Drinks to wash down the sugar — or recover from it
If you're able to score all of the savory bites and sugary treats Halloween has to offer, you may still be lacking something to wash it down with. Well no fear, there are deals for that too. The first deal comes from Saucey, who Delish describes as a leading alcohol-delivery service. They're offering special Booooo(ze) kits that have all of the ingredients you could need to make festive concoctions for Halloween night. The packages will be delivered within 30 minutes in select locations, plus new customers will get $5 off their first purchase.
If you've had all the boo(ze) and sugar you can take, then Jamba juice will be there to help you level out all Halloween weekend. The juice and smoothie chain is offering free delivery through the Jamba app and website from October 28th to November 4th. You can get your favorite juices and smoothies, as well as bowls and healthier bites sent straight to your doorstep (via Delish).
So pick your poison and have a spooktacular Halloween week and weekend with all these freebies and deals.
