This Viral McDonald's Sandwich Hack Changes Everything
Because sometimes a cheeseburger just doesn't cut it, this viral hack is giving you the details on how to seriously up your McDonald's sandwich game big time. In a TikTok video that's earned itself over 600 thousand likes, user @maddiegoetzzzzz demonstrates possibly the most epic McDonald's sandwich build ever. Starting with a cheeseburger (which the McDonald's website says comes topped with pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard) Maddie plucks the burger patty and top bun off the sandwich and inserts most of a McChicken sandwich inside, save for the bottom bun. A McChicken, according to the McDonald's product page, is a crispy chicken fillet, mayo, and shredded lettuce on a bun.
At this point, die-hard McDonald's secret menu fans may think this TikToker is basically just replicating an infamously named item that already exists — the McGangBang (which is a McDouble combined with a McChicken), but they would be wrong. Maddie's customizations are not done yet.
This McDonald's TikTok sandwich hack is not complete without fries and hot sauce
So far, this viral McDonald's sandwich hack closely resembles a secret menu item fans may already be familiar with, but after popping the McChicken (sans bottom bun) inside the burger, TikTok user @maddiegoetzzzzz's next move is to add a fistful of French fries and their "own special touch" of hot sauce to the mix. Then, they cap the whole thing off with the top half of the hamburger bun. Do the French fries and hot sauce take things too far? Maybe, but if we can all get behind this version of the sandwich and dub it something a little more appealing than its predecessor, that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
If you're playing along at home and wish to attempt this hack for yourself, the layers go something like this (as best as we can tell from the video): bottom bun, fried McChicken fillet, mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, middle bun, French fries, cheesy burger patty, pickles, onions, mustard, hot sauce, top bun. Honestly, we need a nap. According to the McDonald's nutrition calculator, this sandwich hack is approaching 700 calories, and that's before the handful of French fries. Is anyone else not surprised one commenter from the UK called this sandwich a hangover cure (via The Sun)? We're sure it would work wonders on some alcohol-induced wooziness — but no judgement here if you decide to skip the excessive drinking and attempt this hack just for fun.
