How Graduates Can Get A Dozen Free Donuts From Krispy Kreme
In the words of the great Homer Simpson, "Mmmmm, donuts..." Krispy Kreme describes their delectable treats as "sweet fluffy clouds of deliciousness" that are best served hot and enjoyed with a friend. Known for their light, yet mouth-watering plain glaze and airy, bread-filled insides, fans can go beyond the original to try a variety of flavors, including the newest flavor — lemon.
And if you're a new graduate, this may be your opportunity to sample from the variety Krispy Kreme offers, including Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled, Cake Batter Filled, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, and Yellow Iced Original Glazed Doughnuts, as announced in a recent press release. The baked-goods giant is offering a drive-thru special where this year's graduating class can grab themselves a Graduate Dozen for free. In addition, this special box is available for purchase.
We already know Krispy Kreme donuts taste good! But for free? Is this too good to be true? No!
A special gift for graduates
This special promotion is available to new graduations on May 19th at drive-thru or takeout locations. To get the deal, new grads need to show up to the store wearing their graduate swag. Don't worry, if you don't have a cap and gown yet, a variety of "proof" will work including tassels, class rings, letterman jackets with the year, graduation announcements, and/or senior photos (via Krispy Kreme). If you want to purchase this special dozen for your graduate, the treat is available for sale from May 18th through the 24th.
This is just the latest example of Krispy Kreme's long history of fundraising and community support. The company's philanthropic arm was created in 1955 and has been "Raising Some Dough" ever since. Last year the organization partnered to raise $37 million through different initiatives. "We feel for all of the high school and college seniors. We wish they had that moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma," said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme in a press release. "We can't replace that ... but we thought we could help them safely have a little fun and enjoy a special 'Graduate Dozen' on us."
