Ryan Reynolds Wants Dads To Get A Vasectomy For Father's Day (It's A Cocktail Kit)

In addition to being an actor, Ryan Reynolds is both a businessman and a father. This Father's Day, the "Deadpool" star is offering fathers everywhere the gift that they really need. Why not treat your dear ol' dad to a Vasectomy?

Before you ask, we're not talking about the surgical procedure that acts as a form of male birth control. Instead, Reynolds has cheekily named a gin-forward cocktail after the procedure. While the name may make males wince slightly, the cocktail itself features Aviation American Gin, Betty Buzz Tonic (from Ryan Reynold's wife Blake Lively's nonalcoholic mixer brand), cranberry juice, lemon juice, and an orange slice. 

Reynolds is the co-owner of Aviation American Gin, a Portland-based brand founded in 2006 by House Spirits Distillery. For Father's Day 2023, the cleverly named beverage is being sold as a kit via Cocktail Courier. The kit will contain everything your father needs to have a Vasectomy of his own.

To make things a bit simpler and more meaningful, The Vasectomy Cocktail Kit from Cocktail Courier includes all of the necessary liquids and garnishes, plus two ice ball molds, a Japanese jigger for easy measuring, a recipe card, and a note from Ryan Reynolds. All you will need to supply on your own are the glasses. The DIY mixology kit is designed to yield four to eight drinks (depending on your preferred vessel) and costs $64.99 before sales tax. 

Known for his sarcasm and sense of humor, Reynolds showcased how to make the drink himself in 2021. As the father of four, Reynolds and his company Aviation Gin marketed the cocktail as a drink fathers could enjoy. In 2022, Reynolds partnered with Nick Cannon, who has 12 children, to promote The Vasectomy. Keeping with Reynolds' trademark wit, Cannon took the opportunity to lampoon those who say he should undergo the medical procedure and poke fun at himself. The limited-edition Vasectomy Cocktail Kit will be available to order until July 1, 2023.
