Turns Out, There's A Correct Way To Effectively Eat Cotton Candy
A major part of any live Major League Baseball game stadium experience involves gorging on a litany of unhealthy foods such as hot dogs, nachos, boiled peanuts, and popcorn. If you want to indulge your sweet tooth, you might turn to a little cotton candy for dessert. It's fun and it's festive, with wide-ranging approaches to how you can eat it. One fan who recently attended a Los Angeles Angels home game with his wife is making viral waves for demonstrating that there is in fact a correct way to effectively eat cotton candy.
You never know when the TV cameras will pan in your direction and the announcer's attention will be diverted to the action in the stands, but it just so happens that this couple was spotted just as they were about to toss some cotton candy down the hatch. The husband is shown holding up a long strand of blue-colored cotton candy as he appears to attempt to give a crash course in properly consuming the fluffy treat, methodically twisting and turning it into his jaw.
Cotton candy form for the record books
The amused Bally Sports West network announcers calling the game decided to provide a little play-by-play of the husband's cotton candy-eating tutorial to his seemingly disinterested spouse. One host quipped that he admired the technique, "I like the spinning and twisting," he said, hyperbolically lauding it as "cotton candy form the likes of which I have never seen." And, naturally, when a televised broadcast brings attention to someone doing something unusual or entertaining, people flock to social media to talk about what just happened.
On the Bally Sports West Twitter page where the 20-second clip was shared and replayed on a loop for those who missed it, reaction was mixed. One person called him "the goat." Another commenter, perhaps alluding to the old Reese's commercials contended, "There is no wrong way to eat cotton candy; get it in your mouth and experience joy."
