Taylor Swift's Cooking Skills Are Chef's Kiss, According To Gigi Hadid
Taylor Swift can seemingly do it all. When she's not writing and recording Grammy-award-winning music, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter spends part of her free time cooking up some mouthwatering food. Swift's love for food and skills in the kitchen are nothing new, but they've been thrown into the light once again after recent praise from none other than supermodel and celebrity BFF, Gigi Hadid.
In an interview with InStyle, Hadid name-dropped the popstar when asked which of her friend's dinner parties she'd never miss. "Taylor Swift is an exceptional cook, and I love her," she told reporters. The model went on to say "She also makes a really good bolognese sauce and a really good chili that I love." As an integral part of Swift's friend group for almost a decade, she probably has a lot of insight into the culinary abilities of the famous singer.
Hadid, a known foodie, is no slouch when it comes to whipping up a kitchen masterpiece. She's continuously impressed the world with her recipe exploits, like this one for her viral spicy vodka pasta, and her performance in "Masterchef Celebrity Showdown," where she wowed judges with her signature "Gigi Burger". But the model admits that there's something very special about being cooked for, and it sounds like Swift does a phenomenal job taking care of her guests. It really makes you wonder: What's a girl (or guy) gotta do to get invited to one of Swift's dinner parties?
Hadid isn't the only celeb impressed by Swift's cooking
Gigi Hadid's not the only one to applaud Taylor Swift's cooking skills. On "The Ellen Show," Tiffany Hadish complimented her cooking abilities after attending a potluck dinner at her house. And it doesn't end there, as the singer has been connected with celebrity chefs. From Swift's friendship with Ina Garten to her hilarious "Bake It Off" parody with Jamie Oliver (to raise money for the Stand Up Against Cancer organization), she has proudly displayed her love for food and skillfully demonstrated her culinary talents.
But what's Swift cooking at home? In an article for Elle, the singer-songwriter revealed her favorite dinner party recipes: Ina Garten's Real Meatballs and Spaghetti, Nigella Lawson's Mughlai Chicken, and Jamie Oliver's Chicken Fajitas with Molé Sauce. The star has also shown love for Middle Eastern-inspired dishes. In 2019, she shared with People magazine that she was "working [her] way through" one of Yotam Ottolenghi's cookbooks.
Her passion for baking is also well known among her supporters, as her Instagram account often features her latest cakes and cookie endeavors. The internet was recently enchanted by the singer's recipe for Chai sugar cookies, which had a surge in popularity before her album, "Midnight," was released in October 2022. And her skills aren't just limited to food. The singer has learned her way around fancy cocktails, including Mojitos and Aperol spritzes.
