Is Starbucks Open On Easter Sunday 2023?
On Sunday, April 9, Easter will be commemorated in 95 countries worldwide. According to a survey by Statista, about 6,600 U.S. respondents say they'll be celebrating Easter in some way this year. Just under that is the number of Americans who drink coffee daily; per one September 2016 study, 75% of the country's adults consume coffee, which equals about 154 million people each morning (or maybe afternoon and evening, we aren't judging).
Suffice to say, some coffee connoisseurs will hit their local Starbucks' drive-thru for a Frappuccino or cappuccino. But will the store be open when they pull up, or will the trip end in disappointment and a gas station detour? Per a company representative, you can expect the majority of Starbucks to be open for the egg-hunting holiday. But because there are some locations that will be closed, it's in your best interest to call your hometown store or check online for opening hours.
Prepare for potentially long lines this Sunday
If you plan to patronize Starbucks this Easter, nothing will get you in the holiday spirit quicker than ordering one of the chain's spring specialties. This season, the company has released a Pink Drink Refresher, complete with strawberry chunks, açaí, passionfruit, and coconut milk. Another fruity option is its Paradise Refresher, which is also made with coconut milk and passionfruit, but with pineapple pieces instead of strawberry and açaí. If coffee is more up your alley, you can opt for a Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso or a Toasted Vanilla Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.
Those who are grabbing Starbucks on Sunday should prepare for a long line. According to employees on Reddit, their stores are "absolute chaos" each Easter. This can vary from store to store, as some workers said it's typically normal, while a much smaller portion said "you could probably nap if you wanted to." When it comes to spring drinks, everybody seems to have the same idea. "The amounts of refreshers, iced teas, and frapps will be endless," one employee wrote. Rest assured: if you're in a rush, there are some ways to streamline your Starbucks order.
