Kristin Chenoweth's 7-Eleven Slurpee Mixes The 'Bad' And The 'Good'

Water. Coffee. Soda. Booze. Beverages certainly make the world go-'round, but even the thirstiest of beverage goblins may get bored of their usual sipping routine from time to time. If you're looking to spruce up your daily combo of agua, iced coffee, and Diet Coke, one of 7-Eleven's famous Slurpees might be just the thing to get you out of your refreshment rut.

The icy concoction is the perfect thing to sip on any time of the year regardless of whether there's snow on the ground or it's sunny and 75 — though the downside of swapping your midday La Croix for one of the brain freeze-inducing treats is the amount of sugar they contain. According to MIC, a large Slurpee contains 134 grams of sugar, or the equivalent of 3 regular-sized Snickers bars. Downgrading to a small doesn't get much better, as each 8-oz drink contains 18 grams of sugar, which accounts for half of a person's daily recommended intake. Luckily, Kristin Chenoweth recently shared a clever Slurpee hack that can help cut these numbers down.

In a TikTok video posted on March 17, the Broadway star shared how she mixes "a little bit of bad and a little bit of good" in her drink by filling her cup halfway with Vitamin Water Zero Sugar Blueberry Hibiscus-flavored Slurpee, which she then tops with the classic Coke flavor to "equal" the drink out. "Thank, Slurpee. Thanks, 7-Eleven," Chenoweth quipped, though maybe they should be thanking the Tony Award winner instead.

This wasn't always Kristin Chenoweth's 7-Eleven Slurpee combo

As far as beverages go, it seems that Slurpees have always been in Kristin Chenoweth's rotation. However, it does not appear that she's always implemented her half-good, half-bad strategy when making her drink. In a 2019 installment of YouTube series "Cooking with Kristin," for example, the actor demonstrated how to make the perfect Slurpee, but instead of mixing flavors, she simply filled her cup to the brim with the Coca-Cola flavored beverage.

In 2021, the former "Glee" star shared her affinity for the classic Coke flavored-variety of the convenience store's signature beverage again in a TikTok video filmed on 7-Eleven Day, which is the chain's annual holiday held on July 11 on which they give away free small Slurpees. "Everybody has different taste buds, but for me...for me, it's always gonna be Coke ... Coca-Cola," she explained while heading into the store to grab her drink.

It is unclear what made Chenoweth switch up her Slurpee combo to include both her beloved Coca-Cola flavor as well as a sugar-free flavor, but the change didn't seem to bother her fans too much. In fact, just like her character Glinda in the Broadway musical "Wicked," Chenoweth's 7-Eleven Slurpee "recipe" was very popular with other TikTokers. "Bestie you're really on to something here," the official account for All Recipes commented. "We love you and thank you for your hacks," another person quipped. Even 7-Eleven responded to the post, writing: "We just witnessed magic happen."
