Fresh Apple Martini Recipe
It doesn't have to be fall to be in the mood for an apple-based cocktail. Martinis are one of the most popular cocktails out there, and the simplest version of it is pretty bare-bones. That said, it's pretty easy to sweeten up the deal, and that's exactly what this apple rendition does. This fresh apple martini makes the perfect drink to accompany dinner or some light bites at happy hour, and we love how easy they are to make. If you want to play bartender at home, this is one of the best recipes to do it with.
Recipe developer Catherine Brookes created this easy cocktail recipe perfect for apple lovers. "This drink's fresh, crisp taste is so delicious and refreshing! Using fresh apple juice adds sweetness and a more natural flavor," she shares. She also reveals why she loves using apple juice in a martini. "I love the combination of sweet, crisp apple with the kick of vodka and zingy lime," Brookes says.
Gather the ingredients for this fresh apple martini
Like most drink recipes, you only need a few things to make this fresh apple martini. Start with cloudy apple juice, which is the star ingredient. "Cloudy apple juice contains a higher concentration of fruit pulp than clear apple juice," Brookes explains as to why she chose to use that particular type of juice for this drink.
You will also need vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice. Once you have those items, you can make this fresh apple martini.
Add ice to a cocktail shaker
To make this drink, it's best to use a cocktail shaker, but if you don't have one, don't worry. "If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you could stir the ingredients together in a pitcher," Brookes says. So, start by adding the ice to a shaker or pitcher.
Toss in liquids and shake
After the ice, throw in the remaining ingredients. This includes cloudy apple juice, vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup.
Place the lid back on the cocktail shaker and give it a few good shakes to incorporate well. "The taste is fresh with plenty of apples, warming vodka, sweetness from the syrup, and zest from the lime," Brookes says of the fantastic flavor.
Strain and serve
Strain the cocktail into martini glasses. To make them look pretty, adding fresh green apple wedges as garnish. This step is optional, though highly recommended for extra flair.
Now, just clink your glasses and sip away. "This apple martini would pair well with snacks or appetizers such as cheese, olives, and charcuterie meats," Brookes notes.
