Aldi's Hot Chicken Breast Fries Are Back And Blazing Reddit
As any spicy food lover would know, many so-called "spicy foods" don't live up to the hype. Last year, for instance, Buffalo Wild Wings released a Doritos-flavored sauce that promised to bring the heat to a whole new level. Unfortunately, many customers were left wanting more. Similar opinions came to light when McDonald's introduced its spicy McNuggets. One Reddit user said, "[the nuggets] don't register as being spicy to me... there just isn't any heat."
That being said, some companies have succeeded in producing a food product that actually leaves you sweating both externally and internally. According to CNN, some of the best-rated spicy foods on Amazon include Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper chips, Tabasco dark chocolate wedges, and Samyang "fire noodles," so if you want to feel your tongue sweat, order away. But while you wait for the Amazon truck to deliver your spicy snacks, you can head on down to Aldi and buy yourself a box of Hot Chicken Breast Fries. These chicken fries will definitely have your insides melting, but it'll be worth it.
How hot are Aldi's Hot Chicken Breast Fries, really?
Like most grocery stores, Aldi has its own collection of hidden gems. One such gem, per Reddit, is Aldi's Hot Chicken Breast Fries. According to the original post, the chicken fries were "WAY hotter than anticipated," which sounds pretty darn good. The user later added that the fries have a "semi-slow but cumulative burn." In other words, you might not notice the heat until you're on your second or third chicken fry, but you definitely won't be missing it after that.
Others confirmed that the chicken fries were indeed spicy, and noted that although the box doesn't come with sauce, the fries are great with ranch dressing. Someone else recommended using the chicken fries in a chicken wrap.
However, if Aldi's Hot Chicken Breast Fries sound appetizing, you might want to hurry to your local store. Several Redditors commented that their store was either out of stock or simply didn't carry them, while another person said they found the fries in the "non-permanent limited items" freezer area. Aldi, why must you play us like this?
