TikTok's Copycat Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Is Only 3 Ingredients
Frappuccinos are perhaps one of the most popular beverages that's ordered from Starbucks. The famous coffee chain first added frappuccinos to its menu in 1995 and sold way more than they were expecting, with about 200,000, per Starbucks. However, it's only natural for Starbucks to evolve with its customers as their tastes change, which is why the chain added cold brew coffee to its menu in 2015 and vanilla sweet cream in 2016, according to Bustle.
With the popularity of its vanilla sweet cream, Starbucks has added more flavors, such as pistachio, chocolate, salted caramel, and Irish creams (via Starbucks). The sweet creams are typically served on top of iced cold brew beverages and iced nitro cold brew drinks. Luckily, if you don't feel like going out to Starbucks for their vanilla sweet cream, there are plenty of copycat recipes on TikTok. The best thing about the copycat recipe is that you only need three ingredients. Here's how you make it.
All you need is milk, whipping cream, and vanilla syrup
TikTok user @cosettecutie shared their copycat recipe for Stabucks' vanilla sweet cream, and it's pretty simple with only three ingredients. In the TikTok, they can be seen combining heavy whipping cream, 2% milk, and vanilla syrup in a glass before frothing it with a milk frother to make it foamy. Frothing the sweet cream is optional, and it can also be used as the base for other Starbucks copycat recipes such as Irish cream or salted caramel cold foams. Another TikTok user @jorlala, who is actually a former Starbucks barista, gave a more precise recipe using a measuring cup with milliliter measurements. They also make enough to fill up a large jar, so it could definitely be made in advance and last a few days.
The commenters under @cosettecutie's TikTok were super excited to try the Starbucks vanilla cream copycat recipe. A few people said they tried the copycat recipe and loved it, with one person commenting "I just made this right now and OH MY GOODDDD. Ma'am you're gonna save me so much money!" In the comments, @cosettecutie said that vanilla extract and sugar can be used in place of vanilla syrup. Additionally, milk alternatives such as oat milk or almond milk would also work in place of the 2% milk, with the original poster saying that they've successfully recreated the Starbucks vanilla sweet cream copycat recipe before with oat milk.
