With a mix of celery, cucumbers, and kale, this simple juice provides vitamins from some of the best powerhouse vegetables and herbs for juicing.
All you need to make this juice is a good juicer, clean vegetables and fruit (organic is good, but not wholly necessary), and about 5 minutes of time (just read our juicing guide to avoid making these common mistakes with your juicer). A little bit of effort, and you're well on your way to enjoying some vitamin-loaded green juice from the comfort of your own home, without shelling out $10 at a pricey health juice bar.
Gather the ingredients for vitamin-loaded green juice
To make this green juice, all you need are a few celery ribs, kale leaves (or spinach), Lebanese or English cucumbers, ginger, and Granny Smith apples.
Add the ingredients to the juicer
Add roughly chopped celery ribs, roughly torn kale leaves, and roughly chopped cucumbers to the juicer, one at a time. Then, add the halved Granny Smith apples to juicer, one at a time, then the ginger. You may need to add a touch of water to ensure your juicer processes the ginger. Alternatively, you may also blend the ginger into a paste with a bit of water, and add that to the juicer.
Serve the green juice immediately
Pour, and serve immediately, or drink within 15 minutes for the most health benefits. If you had to blend your ginger into a paste, strain the juice for the smoothest results.
For a nice presentation, you may top each glass with a celery spear, or a few apple slices on a cocktail pick.
