A Chick-Fil-A Customer Found A Screw In Their Fry Order
Hopefully, it hasn't happened to you, but many people find strange things in their food each year. People have found bandages on their pizza, feathers in their chicken, and French-tip nails in their nachos — and those are only a few of the grossest things found in fast food orders.
This past October, a woman alleged that Popeyes served her a fried rat instead of chicken. Even though the accusation was brushed off by the chain, being served a rodent isn't outside the realm of possibility. According to ABC 7, another woman sued Chick-fil-A for $50k in 2017 after claiming she found a dead mouse in her sandwich. Gross.
Chick-fil-A recently came under fire again — at least on Reddit — after yet another customer found something in their food. This particular foreign object, while not as disgusting as a dead rodent or part of someone's finger, is nonetheless concerning and potentially dangerous. So, what exactly did this customer find?
This Chick-fil-A order got really 'screwed' up
The internet was concerned, but not at all surprised when one Reddit user shared their tale about finding a screw in their order of Chick-fil-A waffle fries. They posted a photo of their fry carton with a screw in the bottom, as well as a crying emoji.
Several Redditors were quick to jump in with jokes. One person commented, "Looks like you got screwed," while another wrote, "You need more iron [in your diet]." A third person said, "Chick-fil-A knows what's best for you. You probably needed that exact screw for a cabinet or something." Now, that would be a good deal.
Others offered up explanations as to how the screw wound up in the fries. According to one person, the screw looked like one belonging to a "chute divider," where food is kept warm between being fried and being served, and could have been dislodged during cleaning. Another person said to return the screw, if possible, but to let the restaurant know about the situation regardless. None of this is to say you should never eat at Chick-fil-A again, but you know, just be careful.
